STEP 3: Delete Empty Tags from the entire document and save. In the document, right-click on the highlighted link, and select "Delete Link.".Acrobat will highlight its location in the document. Adds a line of text with a transparent background. Adds a note much like a sticky note that you write on and then stick on paper documents. Use this also as a neutral button to turn off any other annotation buttons. ![]() All newly created, yet unwanted, tags should appear at the bottom of your Tags tab. Selects an annotation so you can move, resize or modify it.Be sure "Highlight Content" is selected in the Options drop-down menu. Acrobat will automatically jump to the next unmarked annotation repeat steps 4 and 5 until all annotations are tagged.Select "Link" from the Type drop-down menu, and select OK. From the dialog box, select "Tag Element." Optionally, you can select the arrow style for the start and end of the line. Acrobat highlights the unmarked annotation with the Find Element dialog box still open. Annotation Tools The annotation tool can be activated in the Toolbar and has the following sub-tools: Annotate.Choose the "Search Document" radio button. Select "Unmarked Annotations" from the Find drop-down menu. Select the Options drop-down menu and choose "Find.".Close the note popup dialog and the icon will go away. Delete all of the text from the note section. You can then click the 'Show Comment ' button again to display all the annotations in the document again. This will open the annotation note popup dialog. Hide: If there are too many annotations on your PDF page to affect the reading of your text content, you can go to the 'Comment' tools to cancel the Show Comment, then you can hide annotations for current PDF reading. Using the Hand Selection tool, double click on the text markup annotation. PART 1: Force Acrobat to locate all untagged annotations (unusually these were created through Acrobat's Autotag process or Word's "best for electronic distribution and accessibility" PDF Save As process) To remove the text note from a specific text markup annotation, follow the step below: 1. This will open the annotation note popup dialog. You may want to save versions throughout this process in case you need to go back to fix something these tasks cannot be undone. Using the Hand Selection tool, double click on the text markup annotation. To turn Narrator back on, use the same Windows+Ctrl+Enter keyboard shortcut. To use it, while Narrator is running, press the Windows+Ctrl+Enter keys at the same time. Youll use the same shortcut on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs. I thought I'd offer a workaround for the "deleting link annotations" issue. The quickest way to turn off Narrator is to use a Windows keyboard shortcut.
